Shaw
Formerly
a Senior Teacher at the Glasgow School of Chiropody, Robert
Shaw established the practice in Ayr in 1980.
His
interest in postgraduate education has developed over the
years through his involvement as Chairman of the West of Scotland
Podiatry Postgraduate Group and as immediate past chairman
of the Private Practitioners Forum - Scotland
Recently elected to the Fellowship of the Faculty of Podiatric
Medicine and General Practice he also holds the Meritorious
Award and an Honorary Vice-Presidency of his professional
organisation.
Robert
is the practice owner and practices both from the Marchmont
Road Practice in Ayr and the Elmwood Medical Practice in Newton
Mearns. He is industrial podiatrist to Diageo in Kilmarnock.
His
particular interest is in the field of biomechanics and orthotic
therapy.

John
PD McCall
John
has had extensive experience working in private practice and
the NHS in Scotland and in Yorkshire. John provides a Saturday
morning podiatry service at Marchmont Road.
His keen interest in Biomechanics
and Orthotics is put into practice at Marchmont road and
at the Ayr Sports Medicine Centre on Thursday evenings. He
also practices podiatric acupuncture and like his colleagues
at Marchmont Road has an interest in nail surgery.
John
has contributed to Podiatry as a past Chairman of the Ayrshire
Branch of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, has
worked with the Scottish Health Executive on projects involved
with Diabetes Care, is currently a member of the Scottish
Diabetes Group, a lecturer on the Warwick Diabetes Care certificate
course and a reviewer for the Clinical Standards Board for
Scotland. He is a committee member and webmaster for FootInDiabetes.org
John also runs PodiatrySoftware.co.uk

Anne
Kidd
Anne
joined the practice in the summer of 2008 and consults on
Thursday mornings. Anne has been qualified for over 12 years
working initially within the NHS before setting up her own
visiting practice in Kilmarnock. She is at present heavily
involved in the provision of continuing professional development
as chairperson of the Private Practitioners Forum - Scotland.
While
practicing podiatry on a domiciliary basis she is keen to
develop her skills in biomechanics and nail surgery in a clinical
environment and will offer an added dimension to the practice.
Podiatric acupuncture as a means of pain control, is one of
the treatments which Anne will introduce to her practise,
for weekday patients later in 2009.
